Privacy Policy

This document describes how SeloPhoto for Android currently handles information, based on the app’s present design. It is provided for transparency and Google Play compliance. It is not legal advice. If you do not agree with this policy, do not use the app. The iOS app has its own Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

SeloPhoto (“the app”) is provided by Fuzhou Taijiang Kangzhixuan Technology Co., Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a company organized in Fuzhou, Fujian, People’s Republic of China.

SeloPhoto is an on-device collage and layout tool. You import photos, Google Motion Photos, and videos, arrange them on a canvas, and export or share the result. Collage rendering happens on your device. The app does not create an account and does not upload your photos, Motion Photos, or videos to our servers.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the Android app SeloPhoto (package name com.gohealthai.selophoto, distributed through Google Play) and to this privacy page.

It does not apply to other products we operate, such as meal-planning or nutrition software on gohealthai.com, which have separate practices and documents. It also does not apply to websites, apps, or services that you reach through the Android share menu or Google Play after leaving SeloPhoto.

3. Information processed on your device

Most information SeloPhoto uses never leaves your device. We process it locally so the app can work.

Photos and projects

When you pick photos, Motion Photos, or videos, SeloPhoto copies the selected files into the app’s private storage so a project can be edited later without photo-library access. A Motion Photo is stored as its cover image plus the short video extracted from that file. A video is stored as the original file plus a still poster. Preview decodes a reduced-size frame from that private copy; nothing is uploaded. Those copies may include metadata that was already in the original file, such as EXIF orientation and, if present, location tags. We do not read that metadata to build a profile or send it to our servers.

Export creates a new image, Motion Photo, or video by rendering the canvas. SeloPhoto does not copy original GPS or other source EXIF into the exported file.

Preferences stored on device

The app stores settings on your device, including:

  • language preference
  • appearance (light, dark, or system)
  • export size, format, and file-size preferences
  • saved background colors or gradients you create
  • whether you have finished onboarding

Purchase entitlement is also cached on device after Google Play and RevenueCat confirm a valid lifetime unlock, so the app can restore Pro features.

Diagnostic log

The app keeps a small local log of errors (for example, an export that failed). It contains no photos. It leaves your device only if you tap Export Logs in Settings and choose where to send it.

Android backup

If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may back up the app’s settings. Imported photos, projects, and logs are excluded from backup and stay on the device.

4. Information we do not collect

SeloPhoto does not:

  • require or create a user account, email login, or profile
  • upload your photos, Motion Photos, videos, collages, or projects to servers we operate
  • sync content with a cloud store that we control
  • access your contacts, calendar, microphone, or camera
  • request location permission
  • use the Android advertising ID or show third-party ads
  • include our own analytics or crash-reporting SDK

If a future version changes this list, we will update this policy before that change takes effect.

5. Permissions

  • Photo picker (import). You choose photos, Motion Photos, and videos through the Android photo picker (or, on devices without it, the system file picker). SeloPhoto does not request permission to read your photo library or storage.
  • Saving (export). Saved still collages and Motion Photos are added to Pictures/SeloPhoto as images. Saved videos are added to Movies/SeloPhoto. Android does not require a storage permission for this, and the app cannot read your other photos or videos.
  • Internet and network state. Used only for Google Play purchases through RevenueCat and for opening this policy or the Terms of Use in your browser.
  • Google Play billing. Required to offer the one-time Pro purchase.
  • Share menu. Sharing is initiated by you. The destination app or service has its own privacy terms.

Uninstalling SeloPhoto removes the copies stored in the app’s private storage. Collages you saved to Pictures/SeloPhoto remain until you delete them.

6. Purchases and third parties

SeloPhoto offers a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks Pro layouts, custom backgrounds, custom export size or file-size options, longer video trims, and 1080p / 30 fps video export. Payments are processed by Google Play, not by us. We do not receive your payment-card number.

To confirm and restore that lifetime unlock, the app uses the Google Play Billing Library and RevenueCat. RevenueCat may process information needed to validate purchases, such as:

  • an anonymous app user identifier
  • purchase and entitlement status, product identifiers, and purchase tokens
  • app version, OS version, and device or locale information used for store configuration

Google and RevenueCat act as independent controllers or processors of that purchase data under their own policies:

We use this information only to deliver, restore, and support the purchase you made. We do not use it to advertise to you.

7. Sharing, selling, and advertising

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share photos or projects with advertisers. The app contains no ads.

We may disclose information only if:

  • you direct us to (for example, by emailing support and attaching a screenshot or exported log)
  • Google or RevenueCat must process purchase data to complete or restore a transaction
  • the law requires it, or we must protect our rights, users, or the public
  • we transfer the app as part of a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, in which case this policy will still apply until replaced

8. Retention and deletion

  • On-device photos, projects, and settings stay on your device until you delete them in the app, clear the app’s storage in Android Settings, or uninstall SeloPhoto.
  • Purchase records are retained by Google (and by RevenueCat as needed to restore entitlements) according to their policies and applicable law. We do not operate a separate customer database of your collages.

9. Security

Photos and projects are stored in the app’s private storage, which other apps cannot read. Network use is limited to Google Play / RevenueCat purchase traffic over HTTPS and to opening this policy or the Terms of Use in a browser when you tap those links.

No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. You remain responsible for physical access to your device and for any destination you choose in the share menu.

10. Children

SeloPhoto is a general-audience collage tool. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us (for example, by emailing support), contact kefu@gohealthai.com and we will delete it from our support inbox where reasonably possible.

Parents and guardians should supervise any use of the photo and sharing features.

11. International processing

We are based in the People’s Republic of China. Your photos stay on your device unless you export or share them.

Purchase-related data may be processed by Google and RevenueCat on servers outside your country, including in the United States or other locations they use to run their services. Those transfers are governed by Google’s and RevenueCat’s terms and privacy policies.

12. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal information, or to object to certain processing.

  • Delete on-device photos, projects, and settings by removing them in the app, clearing the app’s storage, or uninstalling SeloPhoto.
  • Manage Google Play purchases and refund requests in Google Play under your Google account. We cannot process card refunds ourselves.
  • Email kefu@gohealthai.com for access or deletion requests that concern information we hold (such as a support email you sent us).

We will respond within a reasonable period and as required by applicable law. We may need enough detail to locate the relevant messages. We cannot remotely wipe photos that exist only on your device.

13. Changes

We may update this policy when the app’s behavior, third-party processors, or the law changes. The “Effective date” at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy. If a change is material, we will take reasonable additional steps to notify you, such as an in-app note or an updated Google Play listing.

14. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may bring it before a court of competent jurisdiction in Fuzhou, Fujian, China.

Nothing in this section limits non-waivable consumer protections that apply to you in your place of residence, or Google’s role in billing and refunds for Google Play purchases.
